The faux fur is super soft! There is a little mesh circle near the ears so the hat won't impede your hearing. You can fold up the flaps with the belt to make it look "Russian style". Overall a really good hat and worth the buy. It doesn't look cheap! It's not all fur inside, only about 2 inches into the hat and the rest is satin.

These guys are awesome. I first received this hat, but there was a large tear in it. I emailed the seller about it and less than a day later, they had already shipped another one no questions asked. A+ for customer service and the hat is very warm for battling these cold Minnesota winters

I was looking for an awesome warm hat to battle the winters in Kentucky, and this seems to be the best quality of trooper hats on Amazon. More fur and fabric than the others, and strap fastener at the bottom. Super warm. Others look like this, but aren't as good.

This is possibly one of my favorite winter hats that I own. I live in a very windy city, and not only does this hat keep my head warm, but the ear flaps keep my face warm too! I love the style and look of the hat as well.
